Orix Buffaloes On March 14, Ryo Ota infielder participated in the "baseball ・Softball Experience Event" in their hometown of Habikino City, Osaka. The event was held as part of a baseball promotion project by the Japan Professional baseball Players Association, and the theme was "baseball ・Increasing the number of people playing softball. The event brought together about 40 children, ranging from kindergarteners to sixth-graders.

Together with Chunichi Dragons catcher Taisei Ajitani, he lectured on the basic movements of baseball, such as pitch and catch, and also demonstrated his own powerful tee shots. "baseball classes aren't often held in my hometown, so I'm happy. I hope more and more people will play baseball. I've come here to help increase the number of players, so I hope it will spark even a little bit of interest in baseball," he said.

This season, after being appointed "Habikino Support Ambassador," he reached the required number of at-bats for the first time as the starting second baseman. He had a batting average of .283, fourth in the league, and recorded a career-high of 10 Home Run and 52 RBI. "First of all, doing well in baseball is the best way to promote myself. Once people know about me, they will recognize me as a native of Habikino. First of all, I will work hard at baseball, and then during the off-season I would like to help out in ways like this," he said, vowing to make further progress.
