On the 10th, Orix Buffaloes announced that they had signed development contracts with Reiji Higashiyama and Kosei Osato. Higashiyama will wear number 129, and Osato will wear number 122.

Higashiyama joined Orix Buffaloes as the fifth pick in the 2024 draft. He pitched in two exhibition games, but did not pitch in either the first or second team due to surgery on his right elbow in May. He was released after the season ended.

Osato joined Orix Buffaloes in 2021 as a fourth-round development player, became a controlled player in 2023, and played in 51 games in 2024 and 46 games this season. He underwent surgery on his right shoulder in late October and was notified that he was no longer needed.
