Haruki Nishikawa outfielder (33), who returned to Nippon-Ham after a five-year absence, held a press conference inside ESCON on August 8. With a salary of 20 million yen per year, number is the "7" he carried until 21 years. Yakultを戦力外となり、栗山チーフベースボールオフィサー(CBO)に“直談判”したことも明かした。

The final game of the second team was held in Kamagaya. Nishikawa revealed, "I didn't really beg Kuriyama, but I remember saying, 'Please help me.'" CBO Kuriyama, who was also present at the press conference, expressed his hopes for Nishikawa's return, saying, "I believe he will be a great asset to the team, so I'm bringing him back. It can't end like this."

In the offseason of 2021, he became a "non-tendered" free agent and transferred to Rakuten Eagles. Immediately afterwards, he said, "I really didn't want to play (against Nippon-Ham) and I had mixed feelings." However, now he revealed his true feelings, saying, "I think it was all for my own sake, and if I had stayed with The Fighters, I might have become an even more unpleasant person. I think it was The Fighters' love."

Regarding next season, Yamaguchi said, "I'm really glad to be back. The past four years have not been a waste. I want to give it my all, even if it means finishing next season." He hopes to blossom once again under the guidance of manager Shinjo. (Yamaguchi Yasushi)
