Nippon-Ham Shun Mizutani outfielder (24) of the "K" team set physical reinforcement as his theme for this off-season on July 7. He is 193 centimeters tall and weighs 100 kilograms, and is aiming to further improve his movement.

He will be training in Hawaii for the third consecutive year this offseason. "I realized I lacked power in some areas. I want to spend this offseason building a foundation not only for next season, but for the next three or four years to come." This season, he hit a career-high 12 Home Run and stole six stolen base, but fell short of his pre-season goal of 20 Home Run and 20 stolen base. His offseason training in Hawaii will be about three weeks long, and for the first time, he will be accompanied by a chef. He plans to change the facility from last year, and will focus on training at a base where he will hone himself. "You can't get big suddenly. Even if you eat and get bigger, it's like you're just increasing the amount of stuff you can't use. It's best to eat three balanced meals a day and let the weight grow naturally," he said, pursuing his ideal physique.

His goal for next season is to achieve the "Triple Four" of 444 or more at-bats and 444 or more inning of defense opportunity. In his eighth year, he will become an absolute regular for the Shinjo-Ham Fighters.
