
Sho Nakata, who retired from professional baseball at the end of this season, posted photos of a "farewell party" thrown for him by his former team, the Nippon-Ham.
On the 6th, he updated his Instagram, happily writing, "Thank you everyone!! The Nippon Ham Fighters members threw a farewell party for me!" He played for Nippon-Ham from his rookie year until 2021. He revealed that they had a great time reminiscing about the old days, and expressed his gratitude, saying, "I'm so grateful!! I was really happy! Thank you!!"
Current players and former players alike gathered, including Kotaro Kiyomiya, who took over as player representative this season, and Taishi Ota, who retired after 24 years.
