Seibu Lions Yuta Nakamikawa outfielder (23) signed a contract renewal at the team's office in Tokorozawa, Saitama, on May 5 for 6.5 million yen (estimated amount), an increase of 1.4 million yen.

This season, his fifth as a professional, he made his first appearance in the first team, but only played in five games. He reflected, "It's my fifth year, but it's been the most intense year for me.As it's my second year in the development team, people are expecting me to improve my batting, so it was good that I was able to produce results in farm games."

He joined the team as the 7th pick in the 2020 draft from Osaka Toin High School. He signed a development player contract in 2024, and returned to the regular roster on July 10th, going 1-hit 3 with 4 At Bat in a game against Lotte (ZOZO) on the RBI. However, he broke the "hamate bone in his right hand" in a game against Nippon-Ham (Tokyo Dome) on the 14th, forcing him to withdraw. His goal for next season is "I was able to make an impression in the few at-bats I had this year, but I want to improve even more and be able to produce consistent results without any fluctuations." He will be in top form and rampaging next season.
