Orix Buffaloes Buffaloes pitcher Nobuyoshi Yamada attended contract negotiations at the team's facility in Maishima, Osaka on the 4th and signed for 55 million yen, a reduction of 11 million yen (estimated amount).

This season, his 16th as a pro, the number of games he pitched fell from 50 the previous year to 28. He finished with 2 wins, 2 losses, 10 hold, and ERA of 4.24. "I hadn't pitched much this year (from the team), so they told me to make sure I make up for it. I was doing well throughout the first half of the season, but I ended up with disappointing results, so it was a frustrating season," he said, biting his lip.

If he can demonstrate his true ability, he will be a valuable relief left-hander. "There are few left pitcher (on the team), and I want to do my best to throw more than 50 games and contribute to the team's victory. I want to raise Mamo-san together."
