Sho Nakata, who started as the fourth batter and right fielder, hit Home Run into the left field bullpen in his second at-bat. This was his first Home Run in the ESCON series, something he hadn't done during his playing days. He was greeted with a fist-bump from manager Hara on the bench, and showed a big smile.
During his first at-bat, the cheer song from his time with Nippon-Ham Fighters was played, but during his second at-bat, the cheer song from his time with The Giants was played. After his first at-bat, he said enthusiastically, "(Hokkaido) is a special place, so I'm grateful for the support of the fans. I want to keep playing with energy and vitality."
