Nippon-Ham infielder Taiki Narama renewed his contract at ESCON on the 27th, signing for 25 million yen, an increase of 8 million yen.

This season, he played in 86 games, mainly as defense replacement. He had a batting average of .220, one Home Run, and three RBI, but his solid defense was praised, and he said, "I was highly praised for defense. That's something I'm confident in. Now I just want to somehow improve my batting."

In October, he announced the birth of his first child. "I want to keep playing until my child knows that I used to play baseball, so I think I need to keep playing as a regular player, and I think the most important thing right now is to improve my own level," he said enthusiastically.
