The Best Nine players for both the Central and Pacific Leagues were announced on the 25th, and Rakuten 's infielder Itsuki Murabayashi Murabayashi (28) won his first Pacific League third baseman award. He also won his first Golden Glove Award, making him a "double crown." This marks the second consecutive year that a team has won both the GG Award and Best Nine, following last season's wins by second second baseman Hiroto Kobukata and outfielder Ryosuke Tatsumi.

Murabayashi played in 137 games this season, starting line-up in 90 of them as third baseman, the most of any player. He had 144 hit and won the Most hit award. His batting average of .281 and 51 RBI were both career highs. "I'm honored to receive such recognition among such high-level players. I'd like to thank everyone behind the scenes, the manager, coaches, and teammates who supported me. I will continue to work hard so that I can continue to perform well not only this season but into next season and beyond. I will do my best to contribute to the team's victory," he commented.
