It feels a little lighter (in terms of comfort), and it's easier to move around in." Ota, who wore the away uniform, commented, "The color of the pants has changed, so that's really refreshing. It's easier to lift my legs, and I think I'll be able to play even better."
The team also announced a new third uniform with a deep gray base color. Yamashita, who wore it, was pleased, saying, "I think it looks cool." The team's comment is as follows:
Home uniform: While following the base design inherited from 2011, the navy has been given a deeper, richer, and more powerful tone, while the gold has been given a more dazzling and sophisticated look. The sleeves of the jacket and the sides of the pants feature bold navy and gold lines, symbolizing team unity, ties with fans, and expansion into the local community. The fonts number numbers and name have also been redesigned.
Away uniform: Like the home uniform, it retains the previous design while adopting new colors. The navy of the jacket stands out even more powerfully. The pants are blue-gray, giving the overall look a cool and stylish feel. The ORIX logo on the chest has also been redesigned with a refined design, and the sleeves and sides of the pants feature the same navy and gold lines as the home uniform.
Third uniform: The base color is deep gray with navy stripes throughout, creating a classic and sophisticated design. The cap and chest feature a new logo that pays homage to the Braves, the team's roots.
