Rakuten announced on March 19 that Tsubasa Yoshino outfielder (23) underwent a specoscopic Bankart repair for a left shoulder repetitive shoulder dislocation at a Tokyo hospital on March 18. It is expected to take five months before he can return to competition.

Yoshino joined the team as the fifth pick in the 2012 draft from Waseda University. Although he made his first-team debut against Orix on September 29th, he has played in two games this season, going hitless in three At Bat hit. Next season, pitcher Itsuki Ito (22), who was drafted second and is a year younger than him at Waseda University, will join the team. Yoshino would have liked to perform well on the first team alongside his junior, but he will first focus all his energy on rehabilitation.
