Shun Akiyama (22) outfielder from Chukyo University who was selected by Seibu Lions in the third round of the draft, attended contract negotiations in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture on the 13th and agreed to join the team for a signing bonus of 60 million yen and an annual salary of 12 million yen (estimated amounts).

It's been about two weeks since the draft meeting. "After the draft, I was approached more and more with each passing day, and I started to feel like I was being watched," he said, savoring the feeling of being a professional player.

He is a right-handed, left-handed outfielder. Speaking of Seibu, "Akiyama" is a "golden surname" with great alumni, including Koji Akiyama, who hit a total of 437 Home Run, and outfielder Shogo Akiyama (currently with Hiroshima), who set a professional baseball record with 216 hit in 2015. Akiyama declared with enthusiasm, "The Lions are a team centered around young players, so I want to break into that team and not only live up to expectations, but also do my best to repay them with results that exceed them. I will thoroughly manage my health in the period leading up to moving into the dormitory, and I will prepare to enter training camp in top condition and injury-free."
