On the 13th, Rakuten announced that they had signed development player contracts with pitcher Kazuto Tokuyama, Takuma Matsuda, pitcher outfielder Ginji Maeda for the 2026 season.
Tokuyama, who joined the team as the second pick in last year's draft, did not pitch in the first team, but pitched 18 innings in five games for the farm team, finishing with one win and two losses and ERA of 3.00.
