
On the 13th, Softbank announced that former team member Shinya Kayama (35) will become the first manager of the Fukuoka Genkai-nada Boys, a junior youth team that will join the Japan baseball League (Boys League) in April next year. "I want to communicate well with the kids and grow together with them," said Kayama, who has pitched in 472 games. The team will be based at Mizuho PayPay Dome and the farm facility in Chikugo.
Starting at the end of this month, we will be recruiting approximately 16 students who will be in the first year of junior high school next year.
