Nippon-Ham kicked off their fall training camp at Escon on the 9th. Manager Shinjo was absent for the second year in a row due to a "final update." Each player spent nine days working on overcoming their challenges.

The hand-clapping speech was delivered by infielder Kotaro Kiyomiya, who played in 138 games this season, the most on the team. Taking to the microphone in front of 12,500 fans, he declared, "I'm sure you're all tired of seeing that scene at PayPay Dome. In order to get revenge here next year, I'll tackle the issues and practice I discovered during this training camp and see you again in Nago (Okinawa) when I've grown even more. I'll definitely be the best in Japan next year." Finally, he led the crowd in a chant, saying, "I want to close this training camp together with all of our fans," bringing the ESCON team together as one.
