Softbank 's Hotaka Yamakawa, infielder who was named Japan Series MVP, began training for next season on the 1st. It was the first day since he was crowned the champion of Japan on October 30th. He only had one day off on the 31st, due to a trip from Osaka, so he started training early. He took out his bat and other training equipment from Mizuho PayPay Dome and went straight to the adjacent beach. He worked out for about two hours, running and practicing his swing.

In the summit game, he was very active, hitting Home Run three consecutive games from the second round, but the season as a whole has been sluggish. He also revealed that he has rented a ballpark in Fukuoka Prefecture since the beginning of this month and said, "I'm going to practice a lot and baseball practice the most in my life. I'm not going to let this year's performance get to me," he said.
