On the 6th, Nippon-Ham held its first scouting meeting of the year at its second-division facility in Kamagaya, Chiba. The scouting assignments and key points for scouting were confirmed by all involved parties, including team executives. No specific list of draft candidates for this season has been drawn up.

In an interview, Chief Baseball Officer Hideki Kuriyama said, "The options are expanding dramatically to improve the future of Japanese baseball players. It's not just Japan, but there are also cases of players coming to Japan from around the world. I think we're in an era where everyone needs to work hard for baseball, so it's time for everyone to think about how we should approach it and what kind of information we should have. There are many ways to spread around the world. There are many ways to get involved, so it's not that The Fighters are the only option, but we're in an era where each and every one of us needs to think about what we can do for baseball." He reaffirmed that there are many options, such as trying to make it to MLB or the minors without going through the NPB, or conversely, players from overseas high schools or universities aiming to join the NPB.
